Childhoodpets.com is dedicated to providing helpful information and advice to families considering bringing a pet into their home. With so many options and important decisions to make, choosing the right pet for your family can be overwhelming. From determining the pet’s lifespan to considering if it might bite, our goal is to help make this process as easy as possible for you.
As a family-run blog, my wife, children, and I share our experiences and knowledge with pet ownership. Growing up with a father who raised a vast array of animals, I was exposed to a variety of pets from a young age, including mallards, gray geese, parrots, doves, finches, parakeets, canaries, reptiles such as snakes and lizards, and small mammals like sugar gliders, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, rats, mice, and even a pet tarantula. This hands-on experience taught us the ins and outs of pet care and allowed us to become experts in the field, even before the internet made information so readily accessible.
Now, as an adult, our family loves dogs and currently has two, but my children have expressed an interest in having more pets. After extensive research, we have added guinea pigs, a hamster, and a large collection of fish to our furry family.
At Childhoodpets.com, we have gathered all of the information and resources we have learned through our experiences and made it available to help other families make informed decisions when welcoming a new pet into their home.
